Tips for QF11 in J or (fingers crossed) F?

Circadin is 2mg sustained release, the dose from compounding chemist varies (I have had 5 mg tabs before)
I don't think Nth America is necessarily slacker than here but it's classified as a Dietary Supplement in the US hence no need for prescription and here it is considered as a drug and approved by the TGA.
It still has no PBS listing.

Melatonin in OZ vs melatonin in US possibly are the same formulation but also possibly not. For example a brand name prescription drug may have the same active ingredient as the generic brand version which is cheaper but the formulation to make up the pill may differ. So people sometimes report that changing to a cheaper generic version vs more expensive original brand might give different outcomes...

As with all drugs I prefer the TGA approved version as the quality control by the company is being overseen by the TGA.

Princess F said melatonin in Oz (circadin) does not have PBS listing. This means when you get the prescription you got to pay the full unsubsidised price. Not sure what it is though.

Thanks. It reminds me in a tangential sort of way of the possible perils of taking various prescription or non prescription medicines / drugs around the world. I heard about the possible "illegality" of certain 'common' Australian prescription medicines in the UAE, but I simply closed my mind to that when I visited there last year. I'm getting on a bit, so I now tote a modest collection of potions around with me.

I do try to remember to take my written prescriptions with me when I travel, as evidence of bona fides, but if push comes to shove, if something is illegal in a particular country, and you have it on you, I would hazard that its going to be a problem.

Latest price I paid for 30 x Circadin 2mg was $52.70 in Perth.

Well i luckily got my upgrade to F for this Tuesday on this confirmed just now, so excited! Am currently in 1 A but is it better to take 2K as i have read people use the middle seat to eat and the window to sleep or something? Or is this cabin usually full on a LAX flight? PRetty new to the whole F experience so tips would be great!

Whilst all QF A380 F seats are fantastic, 1A is not my favourite as it is close to one of the toilets so there is some minor disruption as people get changed into/out of PJs and freshen up.

I don't think you have any real chance of getting 2 seats in F.
1A is close to the wardrobe and toilet but with half the foot traffic and it's own overhead locker. 2K is further away from the wardrobe and toilet with double the foot traffic and a shared overhead locker with 2F.
Enjoy :)

Lots of threads and comments on AFF about the 'better' seats in F, but there are no bad ones. I agree exactly with Princess Fiona's analysis though and given the choice (which I did recently) I chose 2F !

Once you get there I think you'll see there's not much virtue in moving window/middle even if there are seats free.

Flying Qf11 on May 7 in J with a request to F any input with chances for 2 people!

I really like the A side, but have avoided 1A for reasons outlined by Princess F. However the person in 1A always seems to be sleeping pretty well, so I guess it works for different people. if you haven't travelled in F in the A 380 before you will greatly enjoy it and all the seats are good, so I wouldn't really worry about it - have a great trip!

That person would be me :)
Never had a bad flight in 1A
