SMiled when I saw this....looks like a drowing man clutching at whatever he can. there is 1 small hitch to the plan.....Tiger is not majority Aust owned so options of where they can fly are limited to completely open Sky markets like SIN to Aus (which they do) and the Tasman...all others have Bilatereral agreements.The Govt has already said no to SQ on LAX they are unlikely to make an exception for TT.
Of course TT could operate from Japan to Aust via SIN ..but that would req them getting JP to give them access to their markets...also unlikely

I would note Tiger Australia don't fly Aus-Sin, but Tiger Singapore flies that route, presumably under the Singapore side of the bilateral.

Jetstar is able to switch between JQ and 3K because both airline qualify at both ends is predominately local owned
