Hey guys, an entirely 'hypothetical' question of course:

If I was to book a one way ticket that went SYD-BKK-FRA(TG J)-Central Asia (LH J), that had a 7.5hr transit in FRA, do you think I'd have any issues only checking my bags through to FRA instead of the Central Asian airport?

Would be intending for the FRA-Central Asia sector to be throwaway, so wanting to hear if anyone else has had a similar situation and what TG said on checkin.

Cheers!

Should be able to do that, no problems.

Just ask to be checked through to FRA (only). If there is an issue, just tell the check-in agent that you need to access your bags at FRA. With a 7.5 hr transit time, its a pretty legitimate reason.
