I read with interest the article on FF this evening about the theft of a few thousand Euros worth of gear from Air France 1st/Business pax between Tokyo and Paris. A couple of years ago my wife and I were flying Air France Business Class from Paris to Tokyo and had an expensive BMW Motorcycle Riding outfit stolen from the Business Class Wardrobe. Air France Crew could not have cared less. They were only interested in getting themselves off the aircraft asap. We waited until everyone had left the aircraft and no one was obviously carrying it (a riding outfit is a) bulky, b) not easily folded and it was in a suit bag boldly marked with the BMW logo.

As you can imagine we were somewhat less than impressed with the theft and the Air France reaction, so it was no surprise at all to read the article.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Wouldn’t this have been better off posted to that thread, where there was an active discussion on it at one stage. I can’t actually find the thread right now, search is turning up nothing, I must have the wrong keywords.

Sucks about their reaction to it, maybe the crew took it, if you saw no passengers with the item.
