The view from my "office"

Some more views en route MEL. I think I might have seen something that resembles a “controlled burn” around 20 mins before landing into MEL.

My photos don’t do justice. But initially it looked like the fog was blanketing the mountains because of winter, but as the flight proceeded I think I saw a trail of smoke coming off the mountains which then was blanketing the surroundings.

Canberra has been been very smoky for the past few days especially in the afternoon when the wind picks up a bit. A number of controlled burns near Paddy's River and around and also near Black Mountain. Makes for great sunsets but can smell the smoke.IMG_0598.jpeg

The view from the Barrie, Ontario office. It was rather chilly, a bit cooler than I expected although I foolishly only checked the forecast for Toronto for our trip, not further north where we are now (Wasaga Beach/Collingwood - had to visit there, to see if there were any bogans around wearing black and white).

Go a bit further up the road to Sudbury and you’ll see some real crazy rocks man!
When the meteor hit, it lifted up God knows how many millions of tons of rocks semi molten and they dropped down and draped or drooped over whatever was left there. Think of the Salvador Dali watch painting.

Cool! Don't think we'll get time as we're heading down today to catch the Mennonites farmer's market (St. Jacobs Market District | Farmers market | St. Jacobs Farmers' Market, Weber Street North, Woolwich, ON, Canada), but there's a cool version of that clock in person in Andorra which I saw last year.
