The view from my "office"

Did you make it back from the "dark side" ok @RooFlyer ?!
Sure! When I went into the J lounge, the guy that checked my boarding pass didn’t bat an eyelid. They must get all the better clientele here. 🤣.

My office view from the HI Santiago airport. Hey, I like it - no street noise!

A Peter Paul Rubens sculpture, Dulwich Picture Gallery, London.

well, actually, it is in the Rubens/Women exhibition at Dulwich, but Rubens was a painter, not a sculptor.
It is Aphrodite or 'Crouching Venus' Second century AD Roman on loan from the Kings Collection.

It's good to be the King.

It is an excellent exhibition in a beautiful small gallery, with a permanent collection that has to be seen to be believed.
Fun fact, they have located Aphrodite at the center of the gallery, behind her is the Mausoleum of the gallery founders.

We are now in Leipzig - after the cancellation of the first two ICE trains we booked. Amazingly after our previous experiences with D Bahn this train was uncrowded and arrived dead on time. The trip did take more than an hour longer than the first train we had booked was scheduled to take. This was due to major track work on some of the high speed lines. We ended up doing a big half circle and spent much of the trip travelling slower than Perth suburban rail at around 90 km/hour.

The Christmas Market here has a very different feel to Nuremberg and seems more 'local'. I didn't hear anyone else speaking English on the Market. The foods on sale were different and prices were all lower.

Define lower prices? The reason I ask, is because we went to a lot of small town ones on this trip and then when back in Stuttgart before we flew home, while the prices were higher, they weren't that much higher!
