The view from my "office"

Wow! They've got Qantas Entertainment? Why does Melbourne get this and not Sydney?
No idea. The aircraft has wifi and we can stream from the entertainment app or something. I slept all the way thru, except to take some cookies.

I am happy to report that the view from our office at the Taj Palace in New Delhi includes a car park!

The air pollution index today went over 300 (whatever that measures), which tipped it into the “very poor” category. This is visible in the color of the sky in the photo.

Mother-in-Law's vegetables. Mainly okra, Thai spinach and chilli.

I bought a Black & Decker whipper snipper or edge cutter with battery power. It's OK if you want to trim edges but I was using it to cut 12-18 inch tall grass and weeds. Battery lasts 30m-60m but takes up to 3 hours to charge. There's a lot of grass and 2 switches that need to remained pressed down which affects my tendons but I did ok. Lots of rain meant the grass/weeds were growing behind me as I was cutting.

Back of the house but missed taking photo of the banana tree

Not sure you can see it but there's a mound between the trees above. I asked my wife to tell brother in law to flatten the mound but wife said there are termites in the mound so I stayed away.

Side of the house with lots of trees, lemongrass and more grass.

The guava has fruit.

We have a well too that needs a pump but so far expensive quotes.

And the front of house with hire car. There'll be a concrete driveway there from gate to garage about 25m x 6m. And we'll start looking to add guttering and rain water tanks for my sprinkler systems that I will set up later when time permits.

Oh and my beautiful trees above. I bought 4 plants, 2 next to verandah, 2 in front either side of driveway. They were $3.50 each. The yellow flowers bloomed a few days before we left. So beautiful.

Wish I had more time.

I think I used to play t-ball at .... Hossack Reserve (?), and somewhere in Shelley too.

Things finally getting cooler in the UK, top of 12 today and 3 overnight. Sunny at least. We're trekking out to Woking today which will be fun (not) with all the roadworks going on at the A3 junction with the M25.

Hossack Reserve is only about 700 metres from us. Unfortunately these games are at Sutherlands Reserve on Southern River Road in, wait for it, Southern River about 10 km away. You would not recognise the area if you haven't been there for a few years. It used to be mostly scrubby bushland and now it is covered in housing.

Just looked up maps of detours and photos of M25 traffic. OMG! When I was at Portsmouth uni and trekking up to London the A3 was 0ne lane each way and very little traffic.
