Went on a walking tour of the Hobart suburb of Lindisfarne (eastern shore of the Derwent) today - its the weekend of the Royal Hobart Regatta and Lindisfarne offers some stunning views towards Hobart.

This RAAF plane came in bloody low and unexpected:

Mt Wellington with the Queens Domain in the foreground - hard to believe the city is immediately to the left:

Like Point Piper, there are some very nice houses on the foreshore that they are mostly well concealed, but this one c1890 is a bit back from the foreshore was built for the developer of the suburb:

I loved the Regatta when we lived there in the '50s. Had friends with a boat who took us out on the river amongst the plethora of boats from warships to dinghys.
