The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

I'd love to be able to watch a landing from my seat but QF staff always make me stow the screen well before landing (reprise my 1980s coughpit ride into SYD).

i suspect that would be because you are normally in business class ... most economy, [-]premium economy[/-] and all First class seats have gate to gate IFE.

mrsdrron got to her pork before the camera was out.Meanwhile I had a perfect piece of Cape Grim beef.
I of course picked the tart and mrsdrron the Pistachio crème brulee which was divine.

Oh gosh, serfty, it's" just" first and economy pax on QF who have gate to gate IFE (on either A380 or 747 for Y+). Premium economy is from the arm rest, just like (new) business. ;)

re: The view from my "office"

I've only done 747 in premium economy, have always successfully upgraded on the A380. But I have visited Mr Katie and Little Miss when I was upgraded and they weren't!! (Separate PNRs)

OT I know, Katie, but did you use points to upgrade PE->J or was it op-up? I ask as I've booked PE QF93 mid-week in Oct and am considering stumping up 72k points to (try to) go J.

Ah, I see (or don't see, in this case). After 30+ years of cattle class on 747s, I've been fortunate enough only to have flown J trans-Pacific on A380s.

SENSATIONAL pics RF :D.

Ta. :) As anyone who has visited here would attest, what I've shown is only a small part of the falls!

The weather improved; I was hoping no-one had seen the first lot, as I was going to sneak back and replace them ;)

This part of my trip is completely unstructured and 100% downtime; no tours, no schedule. Currently on the terrace at 5:30pm observing the toucans with a coldie.

Always using my points. I think it should be to 45k points from premium economy to J. 72k looks like Y to J.

The views and experience from the boat are unbelievable....as you feel (literally) the raw power of the Falls...IMHO, not to be missed!
