The Cornish sojourn is coming to an end. Today we have two views of Trevaunance Cove, the beach for St Agnes. The first photo is when we stayed there the first time in 1987 at the Trevaunance Cove Hotel, and the same building today as a private residence with some self-catering accommodation.

The Kyrgyzs describe themselves as nomads, even today and they have an extensive culture of using horses.

This was brought home to us today as we drove the highway North of Osh. Perhaps a hundred or so being driven up the middle of the highway. Difficult to get decent pics from the moving van office, though!

Yesterday we were in the pretty little port town of Skudeneshavn, which is on an large island north of Stavanger. It was a port for the herring fisheries.

The weather was what we have come to consider as west-coast Norway normal.

Later on we crossed to Stavanger on the car ferry. It was a pretty rough with plenty of white water over the bow. This photo is of a similar ferry to ours doing the reverse run. It was taken through a window and is not the best but I wasn't going outside. Bear in mind these are not small vessels. Around 6,000 gross tonnes, I think.
