The view from my "office"

I took a different turn on my daily seaside walk yesterday and it took me much further along the cliffs overlooking Spring Bay (eastern Tas) than I had been before.

Lo and behold, I came to this place - very private, from all directions - which happens to be where Princess Mary occasionally hangs her cozzie . (This is just the side fence - beyond that is a pool and a very nice place. )

A track down to a small beach, public but not used by many.

We will be in McLaren Vale for a 90th birthday party early January and staying for a few days. Last time we were there the d'Arenberg Cube was still under construction. Visiting it has just risen to the top of our to-do list!

Also try Salopian Inn at McLaren Vale. Best restaurant in SA.

Well worth a visit to the Cube and we had dinner at the Salopian Inn and it never disappoints. Our AirBNB host organised a driver for us as well so that made it even nicer.

If you're driving through the hills at all we had lunch at Mylor Harvest Cafe where they make their own bread and their sandwiches are superb (we sort of overordered even though she told us the sandwiches were substantial.
