I've never understood why they don't / can't condense the steam and collect the water. Must be able to use it for something.

Yesterday morning I woke to the distant sounds of pile driving.

While walking around the office this afternoon I found the source.

The pylons have appeared for the extended centre line of RWY 19R under construction at BNE.

I can see where my office was in 1985 -old pre-fab buildings just behind the Edmund Barton Building on the left.
'85 long, long before my existence. In the 'berra. But I have worked in Barton.
Perhaps not the finest week in our nation's capital. But a wonderful place to live, nonetheless.

My wife was really upset when we went back west after two years "officer development" in Canberra. She absolutely loved it - except for a few days in deepest winter. Our kids were only 4 & 6 so plenty for them to do. A few tears as we started on the road to Cooma - paid to drive home and went the scenic way.
