The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

I hope there was no damage to your property
The fire was about 1km from my house, but only .5km from my boundary, with the wind blowing towards me. That was my issue, flying sparks blowing onto my property.
Community & fire brigade effort to put it out, at least there are plenty of tractors around here to help out.
Now to put all my gear back away.

Bizarre weather - it's been wet and snowing in Canberra overnight.
It must be pretty dry in your area for the fire to take hold. Winds have been fierce.

The golfers will like this shot (from 13th tee at St Lucia GC this morning)...

Like (but not love) playing here. Today conditions were heavy after a bit of rain in last 48 hours but the course played alright.

At the Brisbane Convention Centre today and at afternoon tea, I was standing with this view so snapped away:

Why does every city need a ferris wheel?

Every city? Perhaps just a tad over the top! (Ferris wheel...over the top...get it ;))

From memory, that one in BNE was the one that used to live at Sea World on the Gold Coast.

Pea souper fog this morning in Brisbane.

6:15am on my morning walk:

8:45am. Somewhere under that rolling bank of fog is Brisbane CBD. Can just see one building poking it's head through
