The view from the Hilton Paris Opera breakfast room on a cold damp Paris morning. I'd like to say I was smart enough to plan for us to be in Paris for Valentine's Day but a pure fluke

Thankfully nowhere near as disappointing.

Started badly arriving at 7pm Thursday with the lobby filled with the melodic sounds of loud euro techno pop but we were given a beautiful room (executive corner room). Found the service initially to be disinterested but over a few days I've adapted to the French way of service.

When I had a day job, the view from my office was of Southern Cross University in Lismore. Now that I am retired and an author, I can work from home here in beautiful Ballina and gaze out the window at the Pacific Ocean. Surf looks good today so I might play Noah's Ark roulette and get back to the writing later!

Another view with Mt Fuji. The thing I love about Tokyo is it's peak hour with millions of people out and about and not one car horn - feeling the serenity :)
