Are you a QFF expert? Men's health journo looking for input Comment on Frequent Flyer points

I'm not affiliate din anyway with the media, just saw it in my inbox.

Summary:

Seeking expert comment on using Frequent Flyer points
Details:

Hi,

We're writing a story for our travel page on the value of Qantas Frequent Flyer points and we're looking for someone who can comment.

Among other things, we'd like to know:

– Are they worth it?
– How to make them work for you
– Who really benefits (can the average person ever make them worth their while?)

Cheers.

Deadline:

10 February 2012 @ 5pm Eastern Daylight Saving Time

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Wow, I want to give away my secrets for no remuneration - apart from having egotistic gym junkie men know who I am.

Hmmmm. Pass :)

I'm sure we can come up with some generic comments.

Are they worth it? Oh if you fly alot.
Ultimately the airline benefits because they make money from the points.
The ordinary person needs to carefully consider what they expect to get and how long it will take to get there. 8000 points for an economy MEL-SYD flight is going to take 40 weeks if spending $230 at woolworths weekly. Only the individual can decide if that's worth it.

When the article gets published it might be Mrs Ethel Jones of Booral explaining that she has been buying the baked beans double points Woolies promo for the past 6 months and now has 78 pts. She's well on her way to her dream of getting an around the world redemption in F.
