So a while back we booked a QFF rewards flight BNE-DXB-LIS in J for the 6 May. Our original flight was EK431 but earlier today F became available for the BNE-DXB leg on both EK435 on the 5th (9pm) and also EK431 on the 6th (01:55 am). I called Qantas to try and change our first leg to EK435 on the 5th and got through fairly quickly (I have no status) and spoke with Mary in Reservations Dept. She originally said we couldn’t change to the earlier Ek435 flight as our original booking was a married segment. However she then said she would try a few things and then came back and said yep she can change it! Honestly she was so helpful and I left a glowing review.

New booking shows on QF and EK and but I haven’t received an e-ticket as yet which I was told would be an hour or so. This was about 4 hours ago so now so mildly panicking 😝. Have also checked RJ and it shows itinerary but no e-ticket. Flight is only a few days away so will call QF again and if no success email the rewards tickets section. Fingers crossed 🤞.

Edit to my post: also meant to say that I did call QF again and was told that ticketing could take over 24 hrs (or more) despite being originally told it would happen within 1 hour! Said to the consultant that I was concerned about tickets being cancelled due Qantas not ticketing in time and he sad he would escalate. Literally got the e-ticket within minutes. Over the moon 🌙
