The Berlin disaster - Lufthansa Flight Berlin Tegel to Frankfurt

Hi everyone,

I don't know if it is of significant interest in Australia but as you might know, the new Berlin Brandenburg airport was supposed to open last Sunday.

As it turned out to be much later than initially intended, many people got sceptical about Berlin Tegel's ability to cope with the massive amount of traffic that was expected due to the enlargement of LH's and AB's route network. However, I must say that officials succeeded to keep airport operations as smooth as possible in Tegel.

Moreover, a demonstration in FRA and rough air over Germany create perfect conditions for some adventurous flight impressions! The whole trip report video can be seen below:

Yes I was surprised when I went to book a flight from Rome to Berlin on AB and found it taking me to TXL! I was somewhat looking forward to the new airport!
