I signed up for a new credit card that offered a lot of bonus points, and they posted 2 days before the end of my membership year meaning that I would otherwise have been well on my way to Points Club this year if the timing worked out 2 days the other way. In my defence, it was a time limited offer, so I did not really have a choice (at the time) - although now there has been another offer that I could have taken and got the points this membership year 😫

I’m sinning left right and centre at the moment. I just flew on DSC J flights direct between CBR and OOL! And what’s worse, I’m contemplating doing it again in a m9nth or two with direct CBR-HBA :eek:
I’m really enjoying this thread as I did massive bathroom clean this morning because what else to do in lockdown on day off.……have decided to concede defeat that my six shelves of ‘collected travel items’ will not be used overseas anytime soon…I too am a hotel kleptomaniac and have enough toiletries to last me until the borders to Australia reopen (and probably then some).
I found
- a bathmat that fell into my luggage from the spa at the Montreaux Chateau hotel,
- amazing stainless steel saucer (with depression for placing biscuit) from which I was served coffee at resort in Bodrum (Poolside and room service. The latter I well remember as I thought room service was good way to collect but the cleaners kept finding them!! I eventually hid them in hotel safe.
- Maltese ceramic dishes in J on AirMalta (its only redeeming feature)
…linen serviettes from hotel in Milan.
That’s probably enough or they’ll call in the AFP soon.
maybe I’ll start a thread on my favourite souvenir

This might not be a sin, technically. But I did fly JQ once this year on a reward ticket ... but before a stone is cast, let me say, this was a positioning flight for my VA Discover Gold qualifying flight :) I flew SYD-OOL in JQ reward Y so that I can take OOL-SYD VA J :)

Btw, re : hotel kleptomaniac-y - have got goodies worth to last for a family of 4 for months ... but I'm single, so I have started using them. I'm not sure if I will ever be able to fly overseas in the foreseeable future :(

I love those little round stackable porcelain S and P sets on SQ J - found a few of those too.
I can’t find them now but on an Air France J flight secreted some Phillipe Stark cutlery into my handbag.!!
But all of that pales to a J to F upgrade decline (wow)…

QF flight BNE-CNS 9:05; downgraded from J due to a Qantaslink swap-in.

I then could've booked a points VA J flight at 6:00 o'clockish. Nah, sleep in is better.

Happy to travel all hours for an international flight. Oh, I wish!
