The 50 definitive rules of modern air travel

What is it with everyone on a plane putting their feet up on a bulkhead?
Even a 737, saw it, VAd J.
On a 777, AirNZ prem Y saw it.
Isn't a bulkhead to divide the Y and J and NOT for some muppet to rest their feet up high on it?

I can understand why people would resort to placing their feet on the bulkhead in row 1. I find I can’t stretch my legs to attain a comfortable position. ( though I have refrained from placing my feet on the bulkhead). Personally, I find row 3 more comfortable for stretching out my legs.

Well yes… if airlines don’t want pax to put their feet on the bulkhead, they should move the bulkhead further away!!

But in seriousness… riddle me this… why is it *not* ok to have a foot on a bulkhead, but it *is* ok to have the same foot on a seat, or airline bed? What’s the difference? We don’t touch or eat off the bulkheads, but we have to sit or sleep on the seats!

I’m moderately convinced people ‘round here are all pretending to be incensed about it ‘cos others do.

You don’t see ‘em down the beach screaming at all the barefoot people sweating their filthy foot-sweat all over the pristine sand that others have to sit in … and which might be ingested by a fish someone eats!

I think you're right. If there was one of these lists for swimming pools they'd be outraged that there is urine in the water!

I remember as a school boy we went to the pool for our weekly lesson and the teacher told us that there was a new method of detecting when people peed in the pool. There would be a blue circle around the offender.

Thirty seconds later one of the boys screamed out, 'sir it doesn't work!'
And virtually every other boy contributed with a 'sir, it doesn't work here'.

Why do things such as a footstool, ottoman, or a pouffe exist?

And on our Thunderbirds train today the couple in front asked if they could recline their seats. If only Australians would be as polite.

I thought that there would have had been an x somewhere there, Scarlett.
But must admit, some people do do unprotected and some do do protected sexual connections on a trip, either with someone they know, or a tryst without any commitments.

Yes, its good when those things are part of an aircraft, on long and medium distance flying.
But, on the Straylian flights from Au - DPS, or even TT, and TAust, we don't have those "luxuries".
So, feet on bulkheads it is.
Like I said, even on AirNZ premY with the extendable footrest, this guy still had his feet up on the bulkhead between J and premY.
With shoes on.
