Hi, not quite sure which section to post this question. I need to cancel a business class return flight from Mel to Rome with Thai Airways. The Thai office won’t be open in Melb until Tuesday due to a public holiday. Does anyone know if I am able to get the refund applied to a different credit card also in my name? Having the refund applied to the original booking card will tie up the funds somewhat ( its complicated) . Thanks

Welcome to AFF!

As far as I know, the refund must be processed back to the original card. This is to prevent fraud. (Even if the original card is closed the refund still gets processed back on to the card and needs to be transferred by the bank onto your new card).

you should be able to contact Thai Airways in Bangkok if you want to cancel the ticket urgently.
