So I have organised some flights through US Airways Dividend Miles for a friend (SYD-BKK-USM-BKK-SYD in J) for his honeymoon in Feb, tickets were all purchased and confirmed. Then today I read that Thai Airways is no longer flying from BKK to USM. What do you think the ramifications are for this should I get in touch with Thai to see how they are going to get them there as it appears that only Bangkok Airways flies to the island now, or should I speak to US airways and try to have the route changed to Surat Thani on the mainland and tell my friend to book a bus/ferry? Thai Airways to increase flight frequencies on some routes

Bangkok Airways has J on some of its planes, so I would hope that they should get transferred to that.
I would wait for now to see what is offered.

The Thai ferries are generally of fairly average standard.

Thanks Moa, Ive done the ferries before they are average as you mentioned, I want to avoid the hassle of them getting from the airport to the ferry dock, from memory is a good 60-90 minutes on a bus. Not the ideal way to spend a honeymoon
