I used to have telstra memo which was a service where a human answers the call and transcribes the message to sms

Now its discontinued.

Options are Messagebankplus for iPhone or Voice2Text

Would like some opinions about these 2

thanks

Neither are great.

Voice to text is rubbish and people tend to hang up rather than leave a voicemail.

Is it personal or business? Personal I would go voicemail, business i would pay for an answering service.

Also note, visual voicemail on iphone won't work unless you have data access, so keep that in mind while travelling.

ah thanks.

I used to pay for an answering service 'Telstra Memo" but its been discontinued.

Any other commercial call answering services?

I used to use voice to text and I thought it was OK but not perfect - at least you could see who the call was from and at least some of the message without having to dial in. Unless it is an important part of your business it should be fine

I’ve signed up to Telstra Messagebank plus for iPhone - the messages come up as a audiofile list on the voicemail icon in the phone app. Will give it a whirl but still slower than reading a sms but at least I can see the phone number of the caller and a list of voicemails

$5/month when it’s just an iPhone enabled feature - Telstra just needed to turn it on. Thieves!!
