Taxis & Limousines from Qantas

I am always distressed by the lenghty delays I am forced to encounter whilst waiting for a taxi on Friday evenings and Monday mornings -

My PA booked with *** (name removed - commercial post not permitted) removed last month and I have to say - they give priority to all Qantas Frequent Flyers and all the cars are Lexus hybrids as well -

If anyone is stuck in the same situation I can thoroughly recommend giving them a look

And I receive booking confirmation with less than a minute !

Not sure why the other companies are so behind on the airport but it's about time someone did something!

A little more info and a fourth option would be handy. I suspect that without more info that many cannot answer your poll.

1. Which city (or cities) are you referring to with your poll :?:
2. An option for "Don't know or I've never used the service" would give you a more representative answer.

Which city? Taxis and limousines from Qantas? Why bother?

There are much easier alternatives. Trains, buses, coaches and if all else fails get someone to pick you up/drop you off.

How does a company not affiliated with Qantas in any way "give priority to all Qantas Frequent Flyers" ?

I also don't see their rates as being anything special:

Dom Airport - CBD $150 rtn + tolls (includes waiting time)
Intl Airport - CBD $175 rtn + tolls ($1.50 p/min after 20mins)
CBD to Local Suburbs $55

LS600hL:$155 per hour (min charges apply) other rates below

Dom Airport - CBD $225 rtn + tolls (includes waiting time)
Intl Airport - CBD $275 rtn + tolls ($2.50 p/min after 20mins)
CBD to Local Suburbs $110 (1st December to Jan 1st $155 min)

My first policy is NOT to fly into/out of BNE domestic on a Friday, particularly pm.

There have been many long posts/missives here about Airtrain/taxi's in BNE that I'm about to reach for my blood pressure pills at the very thought:evil:
