I've spent a bit of time searching around without any conclusive answer.

I'm flying BA World Traveller Plus to LHR later this week, and as it's a 5am or so arrival, I figured a shower wouldn't go astray. There seems to be mixed reports around saying that WP's do or do not get access, based on the JSA.

Does anyone have a definitive answer? I'd rather spend a few hours in the lounge than have to wander around the city after a long flight waiting for my hotel room to become available!

The BAEC dashboard on FT suggests you will get access as a WP/OWE
Definitely get access to the AA Lounge in T3 based on personal experience

Given T5 are you on HKG-LHR?
If so my thought was only if in First or ClubWorld. The BAEC Guide notes specifically that Arrivals is not a oneworld lounge

IF on T3 routes BKK/SIN, think OK for AA T3 access.

I'm on SIN-LHR. Having used both lounges with the MegaDo I'd rather train it to T5 and use the BA lounge over the decidedly average AA arrivals lounge.

Anyone have first hand experience? I'll settle for the AA lounge if necessary though!

Also I'll be flying BOS-LHR a week later so assume that'll be into T5 (and Y+ on that one too).

If you have Priority Pass you could also use the AC Arrivals lounge at T3 which is landside.

I came in to T3 on BA16 in late Feb. Somehow I had been expecting T5 and wasn't all that sure where to find the AA lounge so I jumped the HEX to T5. No problems at the lounge entrance and as an F pax, I was invited to use the waiter service dining area.

I believe as Princess Fiona said, I should be right there. In Y+ with WP I should be right (just the lounge is average at best).

If you're in F you get it, but alas I'm only Y+ so I am not sure. I do have a contact in BA Lounges so I may ask her:)

drewbles,
Have previously done the hike to t5 after landing on qf31 in j (as i was meeting someone landing from Europe) and was granted access -- the ba staff had a cheat sheet
Whilst i agree the t5 lounge is nicer, imho it isnt worth the effort of the train transfer.

Thanks moa. Having done both lounges, i'll stick to the BA wherever possible; the AA lounge breakfast was cold and the sausages had enough gristle in them to be classed as meat on the bone

Still, evidence suggests J/F only, not Y+ WP (I'm pretty sure it's far more based on class of service for the BA lounge where AA I should have no issues going into). I have probably 2-3 hours to kill, so will try my luck ;)

Slightly different to the original query from drewbles, can a QF WP flying on QF into LHR (obviously from SIN) on the QF flight number access the BA Arrivals Lounge in T5 if (i) in Y/W or (ii) J/F?

(I'm aware that J and F passengers have access to the AA Arrivals Lounge in T3.)

I don't believe so. I believe it's BA J/F only. I was bumped up to J on the BA flight as it happened (from Y+ to J), arrived in T3, trained over to T5, and was welcomed in (just as well, i had a meeting I had to skype in on).

Another question on a similar theme. I'm flying BA F to LHR T3 this week then whY to EDI fom T5. I am SG. Do I get into the F lounge at T5?

I think you only get J lounge..

You can access Concorde lounge BA F metal or Flounge BA code share just make sure you have you F boarding pass as well as your onward BP.

Even though the onward flight is in Y? I thought you had to be flying in F?

If you fly in on BA F metal and onwards BA - every year since 2009 fly in DXB-LHR F then onward to a destination in euorpe BA J - have had entry to CCR but you have to show F BP and current onward BA flight. Only thing I don'y know is if I was flying with another airline out of LHR wether I gain acess CCR.

ahh but you are in J and they are in Y... and from T5 is only BA.

I also believe this is correct. The F flight is the critical factor (arrival/departure on the same day) make sure you have your BP for BA metal/ticket.

I've only done the F then CE connection for CCR access however, I've read on FT that access is based on the F BP not the connecting class.

Get on the BAEC forum over on FT and the answer will be there.

Having just read a few post on FT.....access is granted based on the same day arrival in F.

Sorry can't post a link.

Enjoy
