Looking at some travel for early next year and was wondering if the VA team can provide some clarity if this is a schedule loading issue or intended change (aircraft out for servicing?).

If you look at the current SYD-CBR flights on weekdays, we have departures at;

0705
0805
1005
1135
1235
1435
1535
1705
1805
1905
2035

From January 5th however, the number of SYD-CBR flights is dramatically reduced during the week and we only have;

0805
1005
1235
1735
1835
2035

This seems a little strange as every afternoon flight I have been on since the ATRs started have generally been very busy, particularly the 1535 and later services. The strangest element is Sunday's in 2015 seem to have a lot more services SYD-CBR than during the week :confused:

VA - can you confirm if this is a permanent change or did someone just forget to load up the schedules properly?

Seasonal reductions in January are common on a number of airlines across a range of routes.

As Markis10 mentioned, It is very common on business markets for flights to be reduced.

For example on a Friday in DEC QF has 21 flights per day Friday , however in JAN that is only 11 on a Friday

From what I can recall looking a few weeks back they had full capacity loaded though for January and have now changed it which felt a little strange to me...
