SYD International Bag Drop

Can anyone tell me if its possible to drop bags after self check in the night before your flight.
We are planning to stay in the airport hotel and if we could avoid some of the current airport chaos by dropping the night before, it would be great.
Our flight QF81 to SIN at 11:10am.

No, not possible.

No, but you could drop off your bags as soon as counter check-in opens at 4.30am then head back to the hotel to catch a few more ZZZs.

Cant see that happening. We will be at a hotel thats closer to the domestic - so will require a shuttle or uber.

I'd recommend the Rydges if flying internationally.

AFAIK This is only possible if you are flying Emirates 6am flight Biz/First. Furthermore, Emirates pays for your Ridges accomodation. They allow you to check your bags the night before and you rock up in the morning with your boarding pass with your carry-on's. This is to entince other region or states passengers in Oz to take the 6am flight from Syd-DXB-LHR.

Is this only available if you are flying on the EK flight number of does the QF codeshare also get this benefit. I am assuming it is not available if travelling on reward flights. As I am based in ADL I am quite familiar with the Rydges as I would often stay there prior to any morning International flights.

I think it is a paid EK flight not a QF flight. Complimentary Hotel Stay when Flying on Emirates EK415 – The Travel Authority Corporate
