In the light of today's announcement I think my experience last weekend demonstrates some of the problems at QF.

The Sweet - En route ex Delhi, via KL to SIN on MH J Class. My first time in the new SIN Lounge - absolute heaven wtith wonderful table service from Fay and Cielo and some of the best lounge food I have eaten in 30 years flying. Put into sharper perspective by the only just OK MH Golden Lounge (Satellite) at KL - and this is their home base. So a great lounge experience - despite the fact that QF seem to be continuing to downgrade SIN as a hub.

The Sour - QF 82 in 34 J/K. Overnight - very uncomfortable (compared to SQ on this route) little or no sleep, ice cold cabin, food not worth thinking about - one drink grudgingly given - no overnight amenities given. German (?sounding - may have been Swiss or Austrian) CSM made so strange announcements. So the wonderful product experience created in SIN was destroyed in flight. No PE on this route in the 330 as noted so that was not an option. The fare was cheap - so I guess you get what you pay for.

I'll record my MH experience in that forum. I'm just about to hit LTS - does it really mean much now I wonder?
