Saw the headline and initially thought it was a new feature along the lines of Munitalp's smoking pods.

Smoking toilet on Singapore Airlines A380: wiring problem suspected

A Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 superjumbo flying from Hong Kong to Singapore on Monday developed smoke in one lavatory upon descent, prompting the flight crew to activate an extinguisher as a precaution.
There was no fire and the aircraft landed without incident, Singapore Airlines spokesman Nick Ionides said in an e-mail. Subsequent inspection of the forward cargo hold revealed "signs of burns to electrical wiring," according to the spokesman.
