i need 220sc to keep gold and my family member needs 290sc to retain gold we have alot of travel next year so want to make sure we keep

what is best SC run EX melbourne or sydney international or domestic before end of jan for this please.

any help would be great

Paid, or are you willing to do JASAs (ie Business class any seat award).
For JASAs - go to canberra and look at routes to tassie.

or maybe the air pacific routes.

220/290 scs is a decent number though.

I have done the CBR-ADL JASA run a few times and find good availability and low points and you can do in a day. CBR-SYD is also another good one

SYD-CBR RTN 80 SC
CBR-MEL-ADL RTN 160 SC
That would get you 240 SC, partner will have to do another SYD-CBR Run

NADI -J RUN Good Status credits for low $$ If You want to save/ dont have enough points
SYD-BNE-NAN RTN 240 SC
MEL-BNE-NAN RTN 280 SC (With flights to MEL in Discount Y, yr partner has 300 SC)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

You can also do a MEL-BNE-PER-MEL JASA in a (long) day for 220 SCs at a cost of 96k plus $325

Or spend that 96K for SYD/MEL to LAX JASA flying an A380, earns only a small 180sc and earning 18k+ points as WP. It will be 36K+ points under the 91st birthday promo. That o/w award is worth, say $4K, in my books.

FWIW, last Saturday while awaiting mel flight from AKL I priced out 3 days over Easter a MEL-[-]DFW[/-]DRW-TSV-MEL JASA via BNE all legs fro 96K and ~$500 - earn would have been 400 SC's.

MEL-DFW et al for 96k?

That's awesome!!

But I assume you meant DRW?

Very interesting. Am I right in thinking this takes at least 1.5 days because you have to overnight in TSV on the way back?

JQ CNS-KIX or CNS-NRT will get 240 SCs with Business Max fare ~$1700 return. Dunno if that's good value for money? Not quite as good as NAN run. Can also depart from OOL, so you could possibly pick up cheap flights to OOL on DJ, or do Economy Max fare on JQ for more SCs.

Actually, I posted 'over three days' - planning was for overnights at TSV and DRW with Good Friday departure.

True that, however I believe he was asking if it takes at least 1.5 days to do, which is correct. I plugged it in yesterday over some random 2 day period in April and the run was certainly possible with a single night layover in TSV.

If doing CBR-ADL go via SYD by preference as that is 100SC each way.

I've seen some JASA for ADL-TSV that offer routes via MEL/SYD and CNS. With CNS-TSV in Y. The points cost is a bit prohibitive for a JASA bur I have wondered if it can be purchased for cash.

Sent from my iPhone using Aust Freq Fly app so please excuse the lack of links.

I recently saw a Y ADL-TSV via SYD then CNS $540 for 90SC one way.
Worked out to be $6 p/SC - one of the lowest points to SC that I have found for a paid fare so far.

Back in June on double Q status run I did CNS/TSV/BNE/DRW/BNE/TSV/CNS, Y to TSV ret. rest in J, had a spare seat next to me all the way, overnighted in TSV both ways, it was a lot of flying in one day, arose at 4.30am to catch 1st flight out of TSV got to bed back in TSV at 10pm that night. At time got the TSV/DRW ret for 48K points and about $250 in taxes, received a stack of points, so much so, bypassed silver and went straight to SG.

When QF link have a sale to MKY you can often pickup a trip via ROk for $140-$160 return - netting 40 SC
