mrsdoc has just changed employers and with that will have corporate travel with VA.

Current status is QF WP.

Any current tips/process for requesting status match on the move across? Likely upcoming domestic travel next 1-2 months initially.

It's likely the company is a member of Accelerate (VA's business scheme) and will have access to Pilot Gold. This will give her Gold for an initial three months and require just 80 status credits of flying to retain it.
There's a few threads in here discussing it.

Is that (Pilot gold) applicable for a large company (I thought that was small companies only)?

I work for a large company, I've never needed the Pilot Gold as I have been gold/plat since 2011 however various employees at different times have been given the pilot gold. Not sure if it was part of limited time offers or an off the shelf available at different times as that's outside my job description to know that.

So mrsdoc called Virgin today. No joy with match or accelerated status attainment.

They would seemingly know she isn’t in a position to choose carrier anyway therefore no need to offer........
