Hi guys was just calculating the SC's I'd earn on an upcoming trip in the USA.

Part of it involves flying VAmerica from Newark, NJ to Las Vegas however I cannot select Newark as the Origin with Las Vegas as the destination.

Does anyone know why? Is it because this trip doesn't earn SC's??

Not all combinations are listed on the website , however you will earn SC on VX ( Virgin America) as long as in a valid earn class etc. You could use JFK as it would almost be the same anyway . I assume it is also a direct flight as well ?

I don't think they have started started the route yet. VX's first flights from EWR were only two days ago, and think only EWR-SFO and EWR-LAX are running at the moment. But you will earn SCs.

There are ways to trick the mileage calculator.. ;)

EWR-LAX is 2454 miles
EWR-SFO is 2565 miles

from there you'd need to add whichever connection you're making:

LAX-LAS is 236 miles
SFO-LAS is 414 miles

From a SC earn perspective, there's no difference between connecting in SFO or LAX.
