Status Credits on Etihad Flights

I am looking at booking flights on Etihad, via HelloWorld or similar.

Do i still collect Velocity status credits if I use my Velocity FF number?

Yes airlines (almost without exception) give SCs regardless of booking channel, unlike hotel schemes.

But....there are some fare classes that do not earn points for partner airlines and it is sometimes difficult to find out the fare class you are booked onto
This is not an issue for EY/VFF as far as I know

Yes, as above, dependant on fare class.

Yes you will get them, however from my experience you have to put in a retro claim since they never seem to credit correctly.

yep can second this, put mine and my partner's number on our etihad bookings from NRT-AUH-FRA and return, and only got AUH-FRA, FRA-AUH, AUH-NRT. partner didn't get anything. Put in retro claim and still nada after 72hrs
