Status Credits on Air NZ

I was switched from a works deluxe that was definitely in an earning class to premium economy A which doesn't so this hardly seems fair.

I'm assuming this is in response to QFF points being earned on JQ domestic flights in NZ.

I notice from the Velocity website that discount economy classes V, W, T, L and G on NZ domestic now earn VA points (0.25 points per mile) and status credits, from 1 September 2015. :)

That's good! Still no change on the status credit page that has Long Haul PE only, not Trans Tasman :(

Hopefully it'll be updated soon!

I'm flying NZ domestic next week, crediting to VA... unfortunately I booked in fare class X. :(

A week too late for me - just booked a swag (*well 18 or so) of JQ domestic flights precisely because of the lack of earn on VA. But great news.... isn't competition great :)

But try to find a Grab a seat fare in those earn capable classes.
If 98% of NZdom flights are still in S class, we are no better in the SC on NZ stakes.

I think I paid about that, maybe a bit more, AKL - CHC in Jun 14, and even in the top one under Grab a seat, it still gave me S. A lot of test bookings these days all give S class.
Lucky you got L.

(Air) NZ website has been "refreshed" so (at first glance), now its harder/impossible to find class of travel before getting into the actual providing details stage part of the website.
Now it has a black strip up the top of the page.
Pity.
Wonder if I go and add my details if it will show class of travel then.
Edit: pick your fare, enter details, and then in the black bar, a little blue arrow appears, use the mouse to drop it, and it then show class of travel.

I find it actually easier to get the fare class now - it's in the main summary.

I wish it was this easy and clear on the VA website.

So, actually, a person does not have to enter pax details!
Sorry, thought had to do it to get further to see class of travel.
I prefer the old way.
Ok, at least we know we don't have to enter pax details.
