Hi Everyone,

I'm a little confused about recent Status Credits earned through VFF.

The flights in question were booked through an online booking agent, but essentially were VA ticket numbers operated through Etihad. I credited my miles to Etihad Guest and my partner's to Velocity. With regards to the booking classes, I'm taking that information from my Etihad Guest Miles activity- I presume I'm correct to do so.

The flight in question is Abu Dhabi- Dublin and its return leg, both Q bookings as per my Etihad Guest statement which awarded me 1842 Guest miles of 3684 flown for each leg.

Velocity activity looks like this:

26 Oct 2016: Abu Dhabi-Dublin 3684 Points and 60 Status Credits
07 Nov 2016: Dublin-Abu Dhabi 1842 Points and 30 Status Credits

Can anyone make sense of this? Did I receive too many miles and status credits on the 1st leg?

The Velocity calculator sucks hard so we will forgive you for not using it.

What booking class does your original ticket say you were booked into?

Hi,

Miles flown is 3684 just to be clear.

Fare basis as per my receipt from the booking agent is QJXAERS for all legs... So again, I'm presuming it's a Q Fare.

Any other way to find out for sure?

That would be a booking in Q class and in that case you earned more points and SCs for the first leg than you should've. It looks like you were given full Y rates on the outbound and discount Y for the inbound (which is what Q class fares should be earning).

Thanks CaviAck,

That's what I thought. In that case I will say nothing....
