Hello, I am travelling back to Sydney to visit my family this Queen's Birthday long weekend.

On the way back, there is a JetStar StarClass fare available at $267 one way.

I am tempted to try it, but only if they actually offer food service and all the usual tidbits associated with business. This flight leaves Sydney at 10am so it is not exactly meal time. If, however, it is merely a wider seat I am getting, I think my bucks are better spent elsewhere. I am a QC member anyway. (Also, since this departs at the international terminal does it entitle me to use the international business lounge?)

Has anyone flown this?

Yes. You get the International Business lounge.

The seats are basically the Qantas domestic seats covered in leather - so reasonable.

Unsure about food on that flight

You will get Business Class SCs - 40 - which at $267 is about $6.5/SC which is near the best you will get domestically

Hi I flew domestic starclass back in January- Brisbane to Sydney and no meal was offered.

The FA's offer you snacks from a basket and this consists of nuts, buscuits chocolates etc. Alcohol is also served.

Seats are domestic business upholstered in leather- other than that it was a pretty uneventful flight.

Had the pleasure of taking JQ18 BNE-SYD in Star Class during mid December.

As aubs mentioned, the seating is Qantas' domestic Millennium product, covered in leather.

Was offered snacks and basic beverages aboard this flight, although the products were much larger in size - bigger bottle of water, larger chocolate bars etc. The cabin crew bring around a tray full of chocolate, nuts etc.

It seems there's been a price rise (nothing out of the ordinary) as I snagged BNE-SYD for $241. I understand JQ18 prices out as closer to $280 now.

It's a nice way to fly, however don't expect all the bells and whistles associated with Qantas Int'/Dom' travel, and I hope you like the JQ tune as they played it repeatedly during boarding and before the safety announcement.

Cheers
