Star Alliance booking on Air New Zealand using Euro Bonus points

Having difficulty getting a business class booking from Sydney to Auckland NZ via Star Alliance using Euro Bonus points. Not had trouble before for similar bookings - being very flexible with times and dates but told no seats available. Any suggestions?
