Anyone have recent experiences?

Departures

I am planning on travelling business class and from my interpretation of baggage allowances I should be entitled to 2 pieces up to 40kgs including golf set up to 15kgs?

You have a total allowance of 40kgs, and there is no apparent limit on the number of bags to make up that 40kgs. The two piece concept to USA is different, you are allowed two bags on that, each to [appropriate weight for applicable class of travel].

The allowance for golf clubs comes within your 40 kilos. If you exceed your 40 kilo limit then there is a special excess baggage charge for the gold clubs, which is a maximum 6kg charge (that is, if the golf clubs are over 6kg over your limit you will only be charged for 6kg worth)

Thanks.

I posted on another thread on Flyertalk which pretty much confirms the above.
