SQ Upgrade then credit to another program?

I am looking at some travel options later this year and was looking at booking a flight on SQ, attempting to upgrade with points (transferred from VA) then changing the FF # so that the (original Y) fare credits to another a program (TK as i am trying to requal for my matched gold).

Does anyone know if this can be done?

I did this (sort of). Booked Y with SQ, checked upgrade availability to J - there was a seat so transferred the necessary Velocity points over, switched my KF number to my Velocity number at checkin and bobs your uncle - got my points for the Y ticket in my Velocity account in 48 hours. See no reason why this wouldn't work for TK

This is exactly what I want to do.

In regards to upgrading, if there is an upgrade available will SQ confirm it straight away?
