SQ J power adaptor

Does any-one have a photo of the power point adaptor that is required for SQ A388 business class seat. I have seen plenty of photos of the point in the armrest, but no actual photo of the required UNIVERSAL adaptor. All SQ says on their website is "UNIVERSAL adaptor required" however, they omitted to show us what they mean.

Any-one, please show me a photo of one that will work. I will be plugging in a two (2) pin Australian lead.

No need for pics - 2 pin Australian lead will be perfect. Indeed a 'Universal Power Socket' is provided - will take ASLL major international power plugs. What device do you need power for? There are 2 USB power outlets also if that helps.

Thank you so much. I have been pulling my hair out wondering what they mean by "universal adaptor".

It's not normally done, but I may be allowed to recharge my POC battery, if I ask nicely and the captain says OK. Depends upon the load being used & since it's a midnight takeoff I suspect most people will be settling down to sleep.

Doubt if I will need USB as I will have my phone charged well & truly before getting on board.

POC = Portable Oxygen Concentrator? Seek out J Cabin Manager imm you board and if at all legal inflight Crew will certainly accomodate you.

I wouldn't be waiting until you have boarded (although I would be doing that too). You have contacted SQ (see reference about Medical devices) to advise and obtain necessary clearance?

Whilst all seats in J will have the in-seat power, there will generally also be certain seats with a different power source for medical equipment - which will have a different capacity. Whilst I understand that you are only talking about recharge, and the device should run off internal batteries, in all probability your chances of success in getting that done will be increased if you have access and approval to use that power outlet - but you will have to be in the right seat. As you need to advise SQ anyway, best to ask if they can put you in an appropriate seat.

Thank you equus. Good advice. SQ says that POC's must be run off battery supply as the 110v system cannot supply enough power for the whole plane. I have already chosen my seat, so if it's not the required one, then I have enough battery backup to get where I'm going. Would have liked to recharge battery for next leg, but will be Ok if not allowed.
