Hi, I have a fully flexible Singapore flight that is booked on virgin Australia as codeshare va5504, is it possible to use my Krisflyer miles to upgrade to j the flight is not showing up on my krisflyer account? My sq number is showing on the booking

From what I have read, you can't upgrade a code-share on SQ from VA using Krisflyer miles. I was checking SQ website yesterday for something else & I noticed along the way that it said that there is no upgrading code-share. Apologise if not completely correct.

regards

Jay is correct, you can't upgrade with krisflyer points on a VA ticket. You can't even upgrade using VA points

Yeah, I spoke to both VA and SQ, even got the sq booking number but no luck on the upgrade can not even reserve seats, it is rubbish and the tickets are y class. I don't understand it. Poor service from both SQ and VA

SQ are notorious for poor seat selection. Even with *A Gold I can only choose from a few coughpy seats. I had a paid J flight with VA code share and was unable to choose seats. This is what happens when you're in a faux alliance. VA need to hurry up and join *A already, I have moved all my flying to maintain my *A gold instead of my VA platinum. Get much better service on Thai than I ever did with SQ

I will give you a tip, if you can't get in online to select your seat, try downloading the SQ app to your phone. But don't expect a large amount of seats to be available for selection. Failing that you can email them and they put a request in for you, with the usual "we can't guarantee"
