Hi All,
I am only 5 stays short of Platinum on my Starwood membership, and I must clock them up in the next few weeks. I have 2 trips planned in AU, but will be 3 stays short.

Is it possible to book the "Cheapest" starwood room somewhere in the world, then simply being a no-show.

The Cheapest room in AU is the Sydney 4 Points at $190 a night I'm sure I can find a much better price somewhere is the back waters of USA.

No. You must show to get the stay credit. Combine it with a mileage run if you must.

The hotel will gladly take your $$$ for a no-show but you will not get any stay/night credits to your account, it is written down in the T&C's somewhere - I am 99.999999% positive that is is there!
