A new partnership was announced this morning between Starwood and Delta Airlines, and it's a doozy. Starting March 1, SPG elite members will be eligible to earn one Starpoint for every dollar spent on a Delta flight—not to mention free checked bags, priority check-in, and priority boarding on eligible Delta flights for Platinum members. And that's all in addition to the regular miles earned on flights. In other words, you're earning points before you even get to the hotel. Not a bad deal, eh?

Interesting! I wonder if that will count for flights already booked?

Mind you I only spent $300 odd on my DL flights, but still, points are points!

As long as they are after March 1st I believe they should earn SPG points.

ummmm... not sure this is how i would book an international flight... you can't earn spg points from third party site for airline tickets...
