Some Plat requalification questions

Unfortunately it seems that I will now be unable to requalify for Plat this year, due to a number of work trips being cancelled. However I will be doing signficant travel from late January on, enough in fact to make the 50,000 EQPs for qualification by the end of February.

My questions are these:

During the period Jan-Feb while I still have the Plat card, do I still get the 100% bonus?
If I qualified before the end of Feb for Plat, will I be sent a card for Plat or do I have to wait out the year as a Gold?

I am sorry if these questions have been answered, but I had no luck in my searches, either here or in FT.

Your plat status runs to 28 Feb so all should be good for bonuses. I assume youqaulified for plat in calendar year to 31 Dec 2006.

In calendar year to 31 Dec 2008 if you qualify in Jan/Feb 2008 you will have status from the date of qualification until 28 Feb 2010.

I assume though if you do that much flying in 2 months that you will be hitting EXP by the end of Dec 2008?

I'm glad to hear that, as a candy thief it's all about earn and burn!!!! Yes I qualified for plat through the candy steal back in March this year.

Unfortunately, the travel is merely delayed travel from early December to late January - a pig of a time to be in the northern US. I was due for about 75,000EQMs, so EXP, sadly, was a bridge too far. Perhaps 2008 will be better, but I don't think I'll be a patch on you Simon.
BTW When do you think that you will have the first million miles done?

Ok - so my assumption of you qualifying in calendar year 2006 was wrong but as a March 07 Candy Thief you will Plt until Feb 08 - so all good.

My view on all of this is to grab what you can when you can - we live such transitory lives that a couple of years of travel can have one pay off - for me that is RTW in J next year
