Software Upgrade

I'm not sure whether it is the software upgrade or not, but when replying to threads on an iPad the paragraph formatting appears to be lost, and there are no smilies.

The first time I go to post a reply after logging in, AFF stops responding if I click on an emoticon. IE puts up a 'recover web page' message and recovers without closing but I lose my message and I have to start it again. The emoticons are then usable.

Also, I notice in some threads that not all posts have a 'like' option.

Definitely looks different, and though I'm not on my mac, glad to finally have WYSIWYG for Webkit :D

Yet I dislike the WYSIWYG. But then call me hardcore.
I could just render all my pics and text in acsii art

Code:
       __|__
------oo(_)oo------

I found the new WYSIWYG text box took far longer to load each time on my older Toshiba. Not tried on a mac, but didn't seem an improvement.

Overall I have to say that this version looks to be quite good.

Only issue I can fault is the editor is a little inconsistent on my laptop and sometimes I cannot add a link into a post, other times hanging when trying to include a smilie and generally a little slower to use than previous editors. Perhaps I just need to get used to it and the auto-save feature looks OK so need to learn to use that one as I always use Ctl + C before posting.

I've noticed that i can't seem to post replies in Safari. It comes up with a pop saying changes will be lost if you navigate away from this page. It works ok in Firefox though.

any clues?

Yep I'm getting this as well with the paragraph breaks disappearing when posting from iPad.

I noticed that last night too. The paragraphs in a reply using my ipad looked OK when I composed the reply - but when it actually posted the paragraphs were all merged into one. I tried to edit the reply (thinking it was something I had done), and oddly the paragraphs were OK again in the edit window, but then found I couldn't save the edits - hitting the "save" button did nothing. I'm glad I found this thread, because I thought I was going crazy :) No such problems with my PC today.

I've also had a little formatting weirdness today (on my PC running firefox) - I had some text in a reply that was underlined, and no matter what I did I couldn't remove the underline. I had to delete that line and type it again.

Yeah I get that as well when editing. If you hit the "edit post" again (I often need to do it twice on ipad) it then goes into advanced edit mode and will then save. But the paragraphs are still all joined together, so only useful if correcting spelling/grammar.

Ok line breaks in iPad you can use "br" surrounded by < and > followed by "/br" also inside < and > to get a single break. Hope this makes sense I couldn't write it properly as it just keep putting in a line break
