Planning an assault on the Platinum Line midnight Sunday to try and nab some QF+EK Classic Awards in September- who else from this forum will I be up against?

:)

Hmmmm. Please can someone confirm platinum line is 24hrs?

sickeningthud do not jest!!!

More than happy to be corrected but I thought it was only Mon-Fri ( to around 7.00p.m.) and weekend mornings, with just the general call centre answering at other times.

Hmmm, yes sickeningthud you may be right...in which case I will still gave priority in booking even through general call line?

Sorry, can't answer that but I guess it can't hurt to give it a try.
Good luck anyway and let us know how you get on.

No competition from me, I will be on a plane 9 hours away from landing in DXB .

That very effectively takes you out markis10!

Yep, hoping even if it is just the normal FF line, will still have some sort of priority in the queue (notwithstanding P1, CL...).

Thanks for everyone's responses- so far September is mine...all mine...mwahahahaaa!!! Now let's just hope QF actually have some CA seats to release for travel in Sept!! :D

What destination are you looking at? I saw availability for EK awards on my route recently so fairly hopeful (only 4 hours so "ok" to fly in whY  if we have to)

Hi simongr, was hoping for J return, PER-LHR...with a 2 day stopover in DXB on the way there...partner is flying on an employer-paid fare in J.
I have everything crossed, but think I'm up against it!!! :-| Wondering if JASA pricing may reduce for our dates if the pricing is calibrated between EK & QF J fares by then??

P.S. starting to over think this- just re-read wording on when CA's will be available codeshare and it says 'from' march 31st. So is that from midnight the 30th?

I wouldn't expect JASAs on EK flight numbers and probably not on QF numbers on EK metal.

I can confirm we are not competing for seats ;)

Sorry if I'm out of line for asking, but how did you see availability on your route? I understand if it's classified!

You just need an EK account
Right...I had checked our dates for pricing on the EK site, but never thought to check for award availability, as I assumed would not be the same as what will be available for QF awards...thanks for the tip :D
