Sneaky Accor has limited reviews

Not sure if this is a long standing approach, but Accor appears to limit which reviews of a hotel you can read to the last 20 only.

I've looked at a few properties and all are the same but here's an example: Mercure Melbourne La Trobe Street

Does anyone know how to read more?

Use a different review platform.

Google, booking.com, tripadvisor etc.

You never really know these days if bad reviews are pulled if the owner/operator has a lever to pull. Real Estate agents are shocking with this online with their own websites.

Reminds me of the old testimonials on some sites with nothing but glowing reviews. Head over to some independent site and it’s mixed.

We often see the same with employer engagement surveys with IDs now linked to surveys. People will be more up front on independent non traceable platforms over something that is tracked, Management do better with their scorecards if it’s somewhat less anonymous as the pool will be smaller and they are often Management suckers leaving positive reviews.

Agree with above comment - better get your reviews from more independent platforms.

Google Maps, Tripadvisor. Nothing's perfect of course.

But definitely better than reviews published by the actual organisation being reviewed!

Agree with above. I never go by reviews on the organisations own site.
Even independent reviews I find are a bit of a hit and miss these days.

I partly wanted to see them because I wrote one and I was curious what the management had replied (only the one I wrote one was last month so more than 20 reviews ago).

TripAdvisor, Trip and Booking.com for me but I generally just have a quick glance and don’t get too immersed in them

I tend to agree. Quick skim over Trip Advisor, I was looking at one in Nth Sydney only recently, 4/5 Star reviews for the bulk of them, building only a few years old. You get the odd low ball review, ie the lone hair found on a bed sheet, or a tiny blood stain found on a carpet reviews… you can’t take too seriously. Get a microscope out you will be surprised how much hair and blood exists on every inch of anything anywhere!

I always read the 1 star reviews first. Sometimes they are about a genuine problem and if that is recurring up o recent posts I Don't go any further.
The most amusing in my stays was the Samling hotel in Windamere Lakes District UK.The TA reviews were split being nearly 50% 5 stars and 50% 1 star. The 5 stars came from the UK and 1 stars from the USA.
When we got there it became obvious why. In the restaurant the GM,a tall thin guy, was present most of he night. The waiters were Portugese and one went by the name of Manuel. The night had several Fawlty Towers skits. We loved it and the food excellent.

I always ignore 5* and 1* reviews from posters with one review only on their profile. Usually paid associates of the venue (5*) or associates of a rival venue (1*)
