I am a QF FF member but have booked an EK flight business to Europe. Should I join the skywards and accrue their points instead?

I don't really rate Skywards as a program, so not necessarily.

However, did you book an Emirates or Qantas flight numbers? If you're booked on EK flight numbers, you can earn Qantas points but not status credits. So if you're interested in earning status, crediting to Skywards could be better.

You may also like to consider crediting to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan.

Unless you are going to be flying Emirates a lot, I'd suggest sticking with QFF. You will not earn any QF status credits on EK-coded flights but you will earn points. Skywards status is much harder to achieve than QFF and the points are much harder to use and worth less (IMO)

Thank you I will stick with QFF

Matt's suggestion of Alaska is a good one
Earns 100% of miles flown in EK business and AS points can be very valuable.
(The miles would also contribute to AS status but you need to also make flights on AS to achieve it)

Found out on a parallel thread that AS/EK partnership is no more. They are still crediting flights booked before closure but no use going forward
