That's going to be a long haul in a 200/300 series Dash 8.

About 1 h 40 min or so? At least it isn't in a Metroliner, I can tell you that!

I guess the old crowd in TWB better bring some ear plugs, though.

To my memory didn't some one I think Mac air use to have flights down to BNE from Toowoomba.

I thought it'd be two hours at least. Still, that's quicker than driving to BNE then flying.

I remember doing an Army course at Cabarlah about 1980 where I was flown to BNE and then on a very very small aircraft of Bush Pilots Airways from BNE - TWB.
After the course it was a King Air ( or Queen Air, can't remember ) from TWB-SYD

Used to be an airline called Sabair, did the run from Bne for ansett. I remember getting off a 767 at the old terminal and getting on some small thing, maybe an emb 110 bandit? Maybe even a twin otter, can't recall exactly. Gonna do some research

Eastland Air , IATA code DK used to do BNE-TWB services in a Twinotter. They interlined with AN. Flew on them in 2001, before AN collapse.

They also had charter operations but ceased all operations following a tragic crash just after takeoff in Nov 2001, sadly killing the pilot and three passengers.

Services due to start 02JUL12. Schedule is as follows (operated by DH3):

TWB/SYD 07:15L/09:30L Q60014 Mon/Wed/Thu
SYD/TWB 10:15L/12:30L Q60015 Mon/Wed/Thu

TWB/SYD 13:45L/16:00L Q60016 Tue/Wed/Fri
SYD/TWB 16:45L/19:00L Q60017 Tue/Wed/Fri

Fares start at $149 each way.

Cheers

Not a great schedule as it has missed all weekend services.

I have friends who live in TWB and they don't like the drive home from BNE after a weekend away.
