The VN option is a tad more expensive but still seeing plenty of complaints that some SkyTeam airlines won’t honour benefits to airlines such as Kenya Airways.
Yeah I'd go with the VN option. Having been with ITA, it was a pain in the cough for some SkyTeam airlines where I'd have to go argue my way through to the SkyPriority line.

If you're Qantas SG, the Kenya Airlines program allows you to get SkyTeam Elite Plus, unlike the VN offer which requires WP. Something to bear in mind.

I was reading the VN one and for their gold it seemed I only got access to VN lounges, not skyteam as a whole? But with KQ’s gold elite I get access to all skyteam lounges?

Seems a good deal for USD175!

lol… there is that 🤣
By no means am I advocating for people to not take up the offer but just a precaution and perhaps in the coming year or so they are folded into the mix completely.
Another consideration for anyone taking up SkyTeam status is that domestic lounge access has only recently been added and that it is still only available at a few select lounges around the world so just don’t rock up to any lounge thinking you will get access

That is correct, you only get the better Sky Priority options alliance wide once you achieve Platinum with them which is the SkyTeam Elite Plus level.

VN Gold is Sky Team Elite.

I took advantage of the current VN Double qualifying miles deal on a recent trip to Japan via Hanoi where I managed to jump from VN Titanium to Platinum after the 4 legs in PE and J.

I have found ST elite quite beneficiary (I moved from OW to ST last year) and i'll stick with ST going forward.

Maybe I should get Qantas to match my Delta status.
