Based on how I thought VA's fares for multi-city worked, I thought skiplagging wouldn't ever save any money on VA. However, doing a quick search recently for a flight, and I discovered some strange combos. Would others ever consider using skiplagging to save some money?

E.g. direct CNS-BNE is coming up over $700, whereas, put SYD as final destination, and the same flight to BNE as part of the connection is near half the price.

Looks like the option connecting to the later SYD-BNE flight is even cheaper by $30

The only thing I can find is 7.2 (e) of the VA conditions of carriage:

(e) Subject to the Fare Rules, if you do not fly on the services outlined in your Booking, the Booking may lapse, become valueless and may not be substitutable for other services. In this case, any amount you paid for your Booking will be forfeited.

Maybe there’s a prohibition elsewhere, but I can’t find it.

Probably wouldn’t include VA FF number in the booking.
